Preparation Week - Day 1 - Introduction

2/13/2017

Please take some time to read the forward of the Eymard Library Vol. 7 . There you will find the explanation of the contents in the book . The meditations were taken from the original sermons or conferences-notes of Father Eymard.

In preparation for the Consecration to Jesus through Mary, please recite the Veni Creator each day this week.

Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament Preparatory Meditation

First it would be good to note that vol. 7 was composed to be read during the month of May to prepare for the month of June which the Catholic Church dedicates to the Body of Christ. However, we will be using it to make a formal consecration promise to Jesus through Mary. We begin on February 20 to prepare and conclude on the greatest of all days; The Annunciation.

The Incarnation, the Annunciation is the GREATEST central moment in the history of man. This is when the PROMISE OF THE FATHER is given to us by the way of Mary. Mary's Yes, Her Fiat, the triumph over sin and death became a reality for us. "And you shall conceive and bear a Son and His name shall be called JESUS!" Luke 1:31-33 We choose this day to consecrate as simple children of God offering back to Him His life in us. We keep the Incarnation of JESUS CHRIST alive by the way of our Baptism and the reception of Holy Communion. The fall of our human nature rises by the way of this PROMISE OF OUR FATHER , through the redeeming life of Jesus Christ offered to us in the Blessed Sacrament. "Mary's consent to the Incarnation inaugurates the great mystery of reparation to God and union with us which Jesus Christ accomplished during His mortal life, and that He continues in the Eucharist."(Page 1 Eymard Library Vol. 7) .

VENI CREATOR

COME, O Creator Spirit blest,
And in our souls take up Thy rest,
Come with Thy grace and Heavenly aid,
To fill the hearts which Thou hast made.

Great Paraclete! To Thee we cry,
O highest gift of God most high!
O fount of life! O fire of love!
And sweet anointing from above.

Thou in Thy sevenfold gifts art known,
The finger of God's hand we own;
The promise of the Father, Thou!
Who dost the tongue with power endow.

Kindle our senses from above,
And make our hearts over flow with love;
With patience firm and virtues high,
The weakness of our flesh supply.

Far from us drive the foe we dread,
And grant us Thy true peace instead;
So shall we not, with Thee for guide,
Turn from the path of life aside.

And, may Thy grace on us bestow
The Father and the Son to know,
And Thee through endless times confessed
Of both the Eternal Spirit blest.

All glory while the ages run
Be to the Father and the Son
Who rose from death; the same to Thee,
O Holy Spirit, eternally. Amen.
