Please read pages 10-15 in Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament, Eymard Library Vol. 7
(Or pages 30-35 on the online book. You can find the link here:) http://archive.org/stream/monthofourladyof00eymauoft#page/30/mode/1up Theme for Week I: MARY! TEACH US THE LIFE OF ADORATION!" Please pray the Ave Maris Stella to accompany the daily readings for Week I. You may choose to contine the daily recitation of the VeniCreator. Ave Maris Stella Hail bright star of ocean, God's own Mother blest, Ever sinless Virgin, Gate of heavenly rest. Taking that sweet Ave, Which from Gabriel came, Peace confirm within us, Changing Eva's name. Break the captives' fetters, Light on blindness pour, All our ills expelling, Every bliss implore. Show thyself a Mother; May the Word Divine, Born for us thy Infant, Hear our prayers through thine. Virgin all excelling, Mildest of the mild, Freed from guilt, preserve us, Pure and undefiled. Keep our life all spotless, Make our way secure, Till we find in Jesus, Joy forevermore. Through the highest heaven To the Almighty Three, Father, Son and Spirit, One same glory be. Amen. MEDITATION "Jesus is the King of the Eucharist and He wishes only trained servitors in His court, only those who have served their apprenticeship. "One must learn to serve before presenting oneself to the King!" pg. 10 "All Mary's life -taken as a whole- may be summed up in this one word-adoration; for adoration is the perfect service of God, and it embraces all the duties of the creature toward the Creator." pg. 11 Practice- Offer our adoration to Jesus Eucharistic through the hands of Mary. Aspiration- Thou art blessed amongst woman, O Mary, and Blessed is Jesus Eucharistic, the fruit of thy womb! Additional thoughts: When our lives become a continual offering without looking to "be done." we will be in accord with Our Lady who lived in perpetual Adoration of the Body of Christ. Perpetual giving, perpetual offering, perpetually serving. Mary's life was filled with a never ending gift of Herself to God, it pleased Her to provide. This is how life can become a living prayer. The awareness of being in the presence God at every moment and His Life in us teaches us to impart a life of Love. The offering of one's daily duties oblige us to labor for the salvation of the souls to whom God has entrusted to us. Each and every encounter, each and every person placed in our path is an opportunity to become like Mary, The Life of Adoration. This is the promise of The Father. -Laura

On this final day of preparation we will ponder a few thoughts before we enter into the daily reading. Week I, the theme will be "MARY! TEACH US THE LIFE OF ADORATION!" Mary teach us to pray! We go into Her maternal womb, the same womb that carried Jesus, the Son of the Living God! We will begin the daily readings tomorrow. As you start each chapter begin with a conscious effort to offer the reflection specifically for your consecration promise. Penetrate into this devotion with the imagery of Our Lady carrying you, ultimately into the presence of God, making your life a perpetual offering. Even if you are a daily adorer or daily Communicant She will take you yet closer to the Heart of the Eucharist throughout the consecration days. What matters to God is where you are right now. Be committed to His Will, to where He will take you through your yes in the desire to know JESUS evermore through Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament. "Let your Yes be Yes!" Matthew 5:37 Pray for Our Lady's intentions, by this we become true children of Mary. Please try to journal through the readings. Do NOT stress if you fall behind catch up when you can and let nothing stop you from participating. Please recite the Veni Creator:
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit (make the sign of the Cross.) We offer this prayer to you O Lord with the specific intention to empty thyself. Veni Creator COME, O Creator Spirit blest, And in our souls take up Thy rest, Come with Thy grace and Heavenly aid, To fill the hearts which Thou hast made. Great Paraclete! To Thee we cry, O highest gift of God most high! O fount of life! O fire of love! And sweet anointing from above. Thou in Thy sevenfold gifts art known, The finger of God's hand we own; The promise of the Father, Thou! Who dost the tongue with power endow. Kindle our senses from above, And make our hearts over flow with love; With patience firm and virtues high, The weakness of our flesh supply. Far from us drive the foe we dread, And grant us Thy true peace instead; So shall we not, with Thee for guide, Turn from the path of life aside. And, may Thy grace on us bestow The Father and the Son to know, And Thee through endless times confessed Of both the Eternal Spirit blest. All glory while the ages run Be to the Father and the Son Who rose from death; the same to Thee, O Holy Spirit, eternally. Amen. Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament, pray for us. Laura Preparatory Meditation
"O GLORIOUS CHAPLAIN OF THE CENACLE, YOU WILL TEACH US TO KNOW THE MYSTERIES OF THE LIFE OF OUR LADY OF THE MOST BLESSED SACRAMENT; YOU WILL MAKE US ENTER INTO HER DISPOSITIONS EVERY TIME WE RECEIVE OR ADORE THE GOD OF THE EUCHARIST." " We need a model, a patron, a guide in our devotion to Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament. We choose St. John the Evangelist. Jesus had entrusted His Mother to him, and St. John celebrated Holy Mass daily in the presence of Mary. St. John was the witness of Mary's Adoration; he was the confidant of her love. not only that he might be a son to her in His place, but that he might by the Holy Mysteries he celebrated for her, and according to her intentions, give her the means of satisfying her heart's ardent desires for the establishment of the Church, and also to console her for her Son's absence by the happiness she felt in being nourished with Him every day." [St. Peter Julian Eymard Library Vol. 7 Page 9] Are we not all drawn to be like the Beloved Disciple who rested his head on the Heart of Jesus Christ at the Last Supper? Fitting that this meditation should be the last page of preparation before entering into the daily consecration readings. Mary teach us to pray is the conclusion of our preparation week. We pray to empty thyself and let the Holy Spirit enter our hearts, minds, bodies and souls. God chose to leave Our Lady on earth after the Crucifixion for over twenty years, this was yet another gift for us. "BEHOLD THY MOTHER, MOTHER BEHOLD THY SON." Jn 19:27Mary continued to live Her life in God even through the absence of Her Son. St. John served Her Holy Communion as he daily celebrated Holy Mass. The Love of Jesus was brought down from Heaven "to give her the means to of satisfying her hearts desires for the establishment of the Church," We too are invited to Receive Jesus in Holy Communion with the desire to continue to establish the Catholic Church through our lives. The eagle represents St. John, he soars above all things like the eagle only by keeping his head attached to the Heart of Jesus Christ at the Last Supper. He is the beloved disciple, the faithful one who stood at the foot of the CROSS of Christ. May this faithfulness be ours through the intercession of St. John, the glorious chaplain of the cenacle, bring us to Mary who will help us to behold Her as Mother. "Aspiration- Hail, Mary, of whom was born Jesus Eucharistic! " Please recite the Veni Creator: In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit (make the sign of the Cross.) We offer this prayer to you O Lord with the specific intention to empty thyself. Veni Creator COME, O Creator Spirit blest, And in our souls take up Thy rest, Come with Thy grace and Heavenly aid, To fill the hearts which Thou hast made. Great Paraclete!
