By Laura Worhacz “The action of the Holy Ghost on the loving soul completes that of the Father and of the Son; His mission is to perpetuate and perfect Jesus Christ in His members. The Holy Ghost, educator and sanctifier of man in Jesus Christ, will abide always in man as in His temple. The Holy Ghost will fill man’s mind with good thoughts, will help him formulate his prayer even to the wording of it, will supernaturalize his actions, will constantly nourish his love until, on becoming a perfect man in Jesus Christ, man shares in heaven the triumph of the same Jesus Christ, seated on the throne and crowned with glory.” A Eucharistic Handbook, Eymard Library, Volume 6 page 23 Dearest Eucharistic Family, “The action of the Holy Ghost on the loving soul completes that of the Father and of the Son;” Our obedience entwined with love activates the gifts of the Holy Spirit in our lives. The same love that flows out of the Chalice, the same love offered in every choice that we make. This week my family was at Mary, Queen of the Universe in Orlando for Holy Mass. Those of you who have visited the Shrine where daily Mass is offered in the side Chapel have seen how close the pews are to the Altar. We were in the second row for Mass, when Father elevated the Chalice at the Consecration. There was a reflection of the congregation in attendance shining off the Chalice to those of us sitting in the pews. We could see ourselves, see our reflection… My thoughts at that moment, “are we reflecting You; Jesus, am I reflecting You: Jesus”. We are being supernaturalized, St. Peter Julian reminds us of this in the above excerpt. The action of the Holy Spirit will be ignited insouls that choose to love, that want to be obedient to the love of the Holy Trinity’s oneness. The precious blood of Jesus Christ held in the Chalice at every Mass is perpetuated for the glory of the Father where Jesus Christ may abide in His children. Mary who is Queen of the universe/Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament triumphed in the Heavenly Kingdom while walking the earth. She was obedient to the call of God through the message of an angel, her YES came from her heart. Mary loved her Creator, espoused herself to His gifts of the Holy Spirit and allowed the natural life to be entwined with the supernatural. “The action of the Holy Ghost on the loving soul completes that of the Father and the Son;” The Holy Trinity! Please offer the following prayer, remembering your consecration promise: Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Blessed are you, Mary exalted daughter of Sion! You are highly favoured and full of grace, for the spirit of God descended upon you. We magnify the Lord and rejoice with you for the gift of the Word made flesh, bread of life and cup of joy. Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament, our model of prayer in the Cenacle, pray for us that we may become what we receive, the body of Christ, your son. Amen.

By: Ivonne Hernandez “He presented himself alive to them by many proofs after he had suffered, appearing to them during forty days and speaking about the kingdom of God.While meeting with them, he enjoined them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for “the promise of the Father about which you have heard me speak; for John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.” (Acts 1:3-5) MEDITATION: This Sunday we celebrate Pentecost -- the Coming of the Holy Spirit, the promise of the Father. “But I tell you the truth, it is better for you that I go. For if I do not go, the Advocate will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you.” (Jn 16:7) It is through this Spirit that we become adopted into the family of God. “God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.” (Rm 5:5) This is God’s gift to us, the gift of Himself, the gift of His Love. A couple of years ago I bought my mother an iPad. She had seen me enjoying mine and had mentioned that it seemed much easier to use than her laptop. When she opened her gift, she squealed with delight. Now she had in her hands the same tool she had seen me use and enjoy. A few weeks later I asked her if she was enjoying her gift, and she said yes, but her voice was hesitant. She was grateful for my thoughtful gift, but she was disappointed. After listening to her I realized that she was only using it to read her email. She did not know about all the hundreds of apps available to her. There was nothing wrong with the gift; she just didn’t know how to use it. Little by little she started learning, and today she is truly enjoying her gift. Best of all, now, when she wants to do something new, she knows that very likely “there is an app for that”, and she knows to ask for what she needs. “If you knew the gift of God and who is saying to you, ‘Give me a drink,’ you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.” (Jn 4:10) These words from Jesus to the woman at the well are addressed to each of us today. “The Holy Spirit is the living water ‘welling up to eternal life’ in the heart that prays.” (CCC 2652) Jesus asks us to give ourselves to him, so He can fill us with His Love. Each time we receive Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, we satisfy His thirst for us and He satisfies our thirst for God. It is in this reciprocal relationship, in this constant give and take, that we must remain. If we only knew all that we possess! If we only knew the gift of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament! If we truly knew, we would thirst for nothing else but for more of Him. “Ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete.” (Jn 16:24) “If you only knew the gift of God…” By Laura Worhacz "O Mary, teach us the life of adoration. Teach us to see, as you did, every mystery and every grace in the Eucharist, to relive the gospel story of Jesus. Jesus has loved me unto death; Love, such is the royal virtue of the Christian. The Apostles began first by loving Jesus and then went to evangelize the nations in the midst of all the dangers and all the sacrifices of their apostolate. They were new men, with minds open to the most sublime truths and mysteries; with a faith purified and a love ennobled; with virtues so strong and sublime that they are a subject of wonder to the most perfect. They were happy to have been judged worthy of suffering for the love of the Lord Jesus. They went to their death as others would triumph." (St. Peter Julian Eymard, Eymard Library, Vol. 7) Dearest Eucharistic Family, Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament, celebrated May 13th since 1856 is the first in the likeness of her Son to go to her death so others would triumph. In the reciprocal gift of Mary's Love for Jesus, the mystery of the Eucharistic life streamed out into the world. Mary's death was her love found in her fiat, her yes to hand her life over in exchange for an eternal promise; HEAVEN. Mary is also the first to ennoble virtues so strong and sublime found through Mary's adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, from the moment of conception into an eternal dwelling of her soul. "Every mystery and every grace in the Eucharist" this can be found by us so the Gospel of Jesus Christ may live for all eternity. In our consecration promise we offer everything to Jesus through our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament. The promise we make is as real as we engage it to be. Having a conscious awareness daily of what we have done in consecrating our lives will make us "new men", new children of God. The promise we make may even be a vow offered to the Lord from the depths of your hearts and souls unknown the world, however known to God by hidden sacrifices of Love offered. To breathe a spirit of evangelization is to breathe in the Holy Spirit in hope to expel all darkness. We die to ourselves in hope of seeing the triumph of others; this is the glory of Jesus Eucharistic and the glory of our Holy Mother, Mary. Prayer to Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Blessed are you Mary exalted daughter of Sion! You are highly favoured and full of grace, for the spirit of God descended upon you. We magnify the Lord and rejoice with you for the gift of the word made flesh, bread of life and cup of joy. Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament, our model in the cenacle, pray for us that we may become what we receive, the body of Christ you son. Amen |
